The place
Far north, past Kannur, on a stretch of coast that tourism has not reached and may not. Thatched cottages in two tiers looking at the sea, a serious Ayurvedic spa, and a houseboat of its own on the Valiyaparamba backwater behind. This is Theyyam country between December and April, and the hotel will get you to one.
