The place
The Rohet family's own fort in the middle of the village, opened to guests decades before heritage hotels were a category. Bruce Chatwin and William Dalrymple both wrote here. Traditional Rajasthani, homely rather than grand, and the village safaris out to the Bishnoi settlements are the real product.
