North up the coast entirely by train — Kozhikode, Kannur, Udupi, Gokarna, Goa, Mumbai — on one of the best railway journeys there is. Drawing sessions at every stop, and a decent chance of a Theyyam ceremony at Kannur if the season is right.

Day by day
A shape rather than a timetable. Days move, and most people move one or two of them.
1 – 2
Fly to Kozhikode. Rest, then a first walk and a first drawing.
3 – 4
The train to Kannur. Workshops, the beach, and possibly Theyyam.
5
North to Udupi. The temple, and time to draw it.
6 – 7
On to Gokarna. A guided morning, an afternoon drawing.
8
The train into Goa.
9 – 11
Panaji and old Goa, a day of drawing, a day free. Overnight train out.
12 – 14
Mumbai at dawn. The city, Elephanta, and a last free day.
15
Home from Mumbai.
